Hi, I’m Sarah!
I may look like just a smiley Canadian, but I’m the straightest shooter you’ve ever met. I've been a coach and trainer for 17 years. I’ll challenge you while holding your hand.
I’m based in London and work with clients around the world. If you want to jumpstart your career and take the leap to the next level, let’s talk.
Now here’s all that credibility stuff so you know you can trust me…
corporate training
I’ve run sessions, in the UK and internationally, on topics such as leadership, communication skills, personal impact, networking and team building for organisations like the House of Lords, the British Library and the Ministry of Justice and Fortune 100 companies including Google, Coca Cola and Facebook.
leadership development
I’ve worked with many senior managers to help them improve their communication skills and self-awareness to become leaders people truly want to follow. I’ve also helped many of them prepare for big-time interviews they were sweatin’ over.
developing other coaches
I’ve trained over a hundred experienced coaches from all around the world on how to help their clients change or progress their careers. I also mentor junior coaches.
my background
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a diploma in Public Relations and Communications. I’m a former political speech writer and have dabbled in stand-up comedy.
I’m a Certified Professional Co-active Coach (CPCC), trained by the internationally respected Coach Training Institute, I’m a Licensed Firework Careers Coach and a Certified Careershifters Careers Coach. I also completed the elite CTI Leadership Programme in Spain a few years ago. If you want to read more about my story, just keep reading below.
My Story
I used to hate my jobs… so much.
I worked doing policy research in the charity sector and later did public relations and speech writing in the private sector. I used to come home from work both defeated and depleted. I would spend the weekend just recovering so I could go back and face work again on Monday. Speaking of Monday, is there anything worse than that Sunday night dread?! Yuck!

I FIGURED OUT SOME THINGS
Through much self exploration, I realised that what I am best at in the world is creating connections, deeply supporting people, and speaking in front of groups - and helping people do the same. As a first step, I decided to get certified as a coach.
I TOOK A LEAP
Then a couple of years later, in 2009, I took the insane leap of moving to England with hardly any contacts, no idea which city I would live in, no job and, basically, no plan. All I had was that little voice whispering in my ear, telling me “life is just too short to not do the things you most want to do.” I was terrified, but I was 30 and at the point in my life where I felt like if I didn’t do this brave and scary thing, that it might never happen.
So, I moved to London, rented a room and fell into a hole thinking “What have I done? This is never going to work.”
MAKING IT HAPPEN
Well, slowly, bit by bit, I kept putting one foot in front of the other and networking like crazy, I ended up getting work with different training companies: one doing corporate training in things like public speaking and line management, one in helping people figure out how to change careers or get promoted within their current companies, and one teaching consultant doctors how to teach junior doctors.
IT WAS HARD
It was not all smooth sailing from there. I got lots of feedback that I was “too bubbly and that my smile seemed inauthentic” and that I “didn’t have enough gravitas”. I refused to give up, even though a lot of time, I didn’t believe in myself. That little voice in my head would not stop whispering “You can’t give up.”
HERE I AM NOW
Well, that was 14 years ago and today, I’m proud to say that I’m a senior consultant and trainer, I train qualified coaches around the world how to career coach and I do executive coaching with clients in a variety of industries.
I GET IT
I know how hard it is being a woman in the corporate world trying to be seen as credible and capable while still coming across as approachable, whilst… heaven forbid, never coming across as bossy or brash!
LET’S DO THIS
It is a very hard line to walk and you have been doing it very well. Let’s just tweak a few things to get you promoted to the next level so you can get the income you deserve.
I speak (okay) Spanish
My father is from England and my mother is from Argentina and I lived in Mexico for a year.
I adore Yorkshire
I know I’m very North American, but do you know that generations of my ancestors are from Yorkshire?
I don’t like sun at all
A perfect day for me is a crisp, grey day. I call England 'the land of eternal autumn' and I love it!
